I have been searching for a new business to get into and after several years I finally found it - not from my personal research, but rather through my good friend, Jim Hannan. Jim is our old preacher's husband and one of my best friends.

My criteria was rather simple. I was looking for something that did not take a huge investment; something that I either knew something about or something that had a relatively short learning curve and excellent support from the company; something that had an excellent product that I did not have to stock a garage full of; and something I would enjoy doing.

I found it at WineShopAtHome and jumped at the opportunity. What I really liked about this program is that unlike most of these types of businesses (Mary Kay, Amway, and others) you concentrate on selling an outstanding product yourself - not trying to build your downline. You do your wine tastings, sell a few bottles or cases of wine, sign up a few more friends to host tastings, and if someone wants to become a consultant you give them the details. Jim did not approach me about becoming a consultant, After about three months in the business he is making a very nice income, but I am the first consultant in his downline.

It is not a get rich scheme, but I can make a little extra money, meet new friends, etc.

The upside is that I can sell fine wines in 28 states and more states are being added. The downside is that because of the distance, I am only able to give tastings in the East Texas area.

You can get all of the details on my site at http://www.wineshopathome.com/cystapleton.

If you have a need for some nice wines, I would appreciate it if would consider trying my selections. And, if you would like to join us and become a wine consultant in your area, click on the link on my site.

There is also a short video of a TV short that appeared on ABC - http://www.wineshopathome.com/AboutUs/ViewBay/ViewBay.wvx

If you live in East Texas and would like to have a wine tasting in your home, please contact me.
