Dr. Colin Heaton Interviews This page has links to a number of personal interviews that Dr. Colin Heaton has made with military heroes. They have been published over the years in Primedia Publication's military magazines such as Aviation History, World War II, Military History, etc. With a few exceptions, all of these interviews are the unedited text as sent to the publisher. I have been given permission to include about 30 of these interviews, which I will post as I have time. There are approximately 100 of these interviews, but the copyright does not revert back to my friend until six months after they have been published. So, I cannot post them until the copyright reverts back to my friend. These personal interviews are incredible. Through these files you get the candid thoughts and observations of those who were there with their feet on the ground. This is all first-hand information. Many of these heroes are now deceased. In the case of several like Hartmann, Sakai, and Boyington, these are the last interviews with them before they died. In addition to these interviews, I have the audio tapes of about a dozen other interviews. I hope to convert those cassette and microcassette tapes to a CD format and Dr. Heaton will offer them at a later date.
