The items on this page are unique, one-of-a-kind inexpensive gift items. All range between $2.50 and $50.00. No two are exactly alike because all were put together using authentic items, but the item you order will look pretty much the same as the one pictured.

Accepted payment is check, money order, PayPal (username jack@jackalope.us), MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover. Our mailing address is on the very bottom of every page on this site.

I am still working on adding items to this page. If there is a picture with no description or price, just email me at info@cytreasures.com and let me know what item it is and I will email you the info and immediately update that pix.

A number of these items are available in very limited quantities and are subject to prior sale.

While all of these items are authentic, I have some nice high quality reproductions of ancient Chinese items, all priced at either $19 or $29 each. They can be seen by clicking here.

  - Waterloo Relic - This is an incredibly historical display. One of my premier vendors received a small number of bullets (approx .72 cal) that were excavated at Waterloo (1814) in a point known as "Lions Head." Since I am always interested in interesting small items I can use in the creation of my displays, I purchased all of them. and created a display out of each. Waterloo was where Napoleon was defeated and from that defeat came the term used to identify defeats "his Waterloo." Included is a copy of the label that the digger included with these relics. It is in French. The display  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame.  $24.50 - 9 available

Gift007

Widow's Mite -  It would be difficult to find a more appropriate Christmas gift than this beautiful display that contains an authentic Widow's Mite coin dating from 103-76bc. This is the coin mentioned in Luke 21:104. The coin is mounted on a descriptive background that pictures the widow dropping in her coins and a high resolution picture of each side of the coin. The display  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame.  The coin you receive may be may have either the 8-ray star or the anchor showing. This was the lowest denomination coins of the period and were carelessly and crudely struck - usually much off center and inscriptions unreadable. This would be a perfect gift for your pastor. $24.00

Gift007 - This outstanding display contains an authentic leaf from the 1856 Cherokee Bible. The Cherokee are the second largest group of Indians in the US, after the Navajos. They occupied an area from North Carolina to Georgia, but after 1827 they were forcibly removed to Indian Territory, now Oklahoma. The Cherokee is the only American Indian language with a syllabary devised by one of its own people. It's inventor was Sequoya, a Tennessee Cherokee, in whose honor the species of redwood tree is named. He devised eighty-wix symbols for sounds in the Cherokee language. This new written language was completed in 1825 after twelve years labor. A special font was cast for the syllabic characters. Parts of the New Testament were printed as early as 1829, although the complete New Testament was not published until 1860. Two books of the Old Testament were printed - Exodus in 1853 and Genesis in 1856. The translators were S.A. Worcester and S. Forman. This rare leaf was printed by Mission Press in 1856 and comes from a small group of unbound folded signatures (groups of pages) that turned up in the archives of an old Eastern US bookbindery when it closed its doors in the 1970's. The display contains the authentic leaf, a brief description, a picture of the USPS postage stamp honoring Sequoya, and an arrowpoint that was found on an acquaintances farm in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. $24.00

No two collections are exactly alike, but all are similar to the pictures. A geological timeline is included. Over the years I have sold hundreds of these collections to teachers and schools across the US as well as in many foreign countries.  Please note that the timeline, minerals, and dinosaur egg are not pictured.  $34.00

Gift009

Shipwreck Coin Display - The Goodwin Sands, a treacherous bank of sandbars just off the English coast, was well deserving of its nickname, "The Shipswallower." In 1809 the Admiral Gardner and her sister ship, Britannia, met their match and ended up at the bottom of this nautical graveyard. The Admiral Gardner was loaded with a cargo of anchors, cannonballs, copper ingots, iron bars, and a shipment of new copper coins minted by the East India company. This is one of those coins - as it was found after being in the sea for 176 years. The coins were struck by the Soho Mint and were the first coins to be struck on a steam driven coin press. The press was designed by Soho owner, Matthew Boulton and his former business partner, James Watt - among the earliest pioneers in the development of the steam engine. Admiral Gardner's treasure lay at the bottom of the Goodwin Sands from January 25, 1809 until it was discovered by a group of English adventeruros in 1985. This coin is one from that wreck. The display is ready for you to mount in a 5" x 7" frame and hang and the backing has a history of the ship and coin. The coin is in a plastic pocket so both sides can be viewed or the coin can be removed. Under the clear plastic pocket is a picture of what the Admiral Gardner might have looked like. Note that after over 190 years the coin is in excellent near mint condition. I have not cleaned the coin, but do include instructions on how to do so if you wish. It comes with a history of the incident. $19.50

Gift010

  Gift011

First Atomic Bomb Blast - In August 1939 some scientists wrote President Roosevelt of the efforts of Nazi Germany to purify Uranium 235, which might be used to build an atomic bomb. Shortly thereafter the Manhattan Project was created and General Leslie Grove was chosen to oversee the project. Robert Oppenheimer was appointed to lead the scientific team. Six years later in the early morning of July 16, 1945 the first atomic bomb blast was detonated at the Trinity Site, Alamogordo, New Mexico. The resulting fireball scorched the desert and formed a depressed crater that was 800 yards in diameter. The intense heat melted the sand in the area. When the melted sand solified again it resulted in a mineral which was named "Trinitite." While Trinitite was highly radioactive when it was formed in 1945, at the present time its radioactivity is zero. Over the years the radioactivity dissipated and today zero radioactivity registers. The site was open for a few years but in the early 1970's it was closed. Trinitite is now very difficult to obtain. The only place in the world it was found was a 2,400 ft. diameter area at the Trinity site, but all of the trintite has now been removed. This display contains a piece of Trinitite on the left and on the right is a small amount of earth from near ground zero at Nagasaki, Japan where Fat Man was dropped on August 9, 1945 - just 24 days after the first test. The background of the display contains some information about the subject, a picture of Fat Man and a picture of Nagasaki after the blast. The Nagasaki soil was collected by retired US Marine Sgt. Chuck Truitt when he visited Nagasaki. Chuck collects sand from beaches and soil from other significant battle areas around the world. He was a missionary in Okinawa for a number of years after his medical retirement and as of March 2004 he merged his Okinawa mission with another, took leave to return to the US and was looking for another mission. The trinitite is something I found in the back of my fossil/mineral wholesaler's warehouse while I was rummaging around for interesting stuff I could use. He found a little of it years ago before the Trinity Site, Alamogordo, New Mexico was closed. He had forgotten about his backup inventory after he had sold all he had on display. I bought all of it and ended up with enough to create a few of these displays. The display  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame.  $24.00

Gift012

Berlin Wall Fragment - On a recent trip to California I stopped by the Reagan Presidential Library and found a few authentic fragments from the Berlin Wall. These were very poorly displayed in a plain cardboard box with a poorly printed timeline of the Berlin Wall and authenticity slip. I felt I could do a better job of making a really nice display using them so I bought a few of them. The picture above is the result of my effort and is representative of these displays. It was not long before I ran out of those fragments I acquired at the Reagan Library, so I contacted a friend who was stationed in Germany to see if he could find some more. As it turned out he had accumulated a number of fragments and sent me several large pieces. The relic in this display came from one of those larger pieces. I have included some details about the Berlin Wall, a picture of the wall, and one of the fragments. The display is ready for you to mount in a 5" x 7" frame and hang. The piece looks much nicer than my scan. $19.50

Gift013

2000 U.S. Presidential Election Chad. The 2000 U.S. Presidential election was a civics lesson for everyone in the country. After weeks of re-counting, the word "chad" was a household word. Included on this display is some of that chad. While the vote was close and while Vice President Gore likely won the electoial vote, the map above shows without question that Governor Bush came out ahead in-so-far-as winning the "country." The above map shows in red the counties Bush won and in blue the counties Gore won. Bush won 2,434 counties to Gore's 677. bush won 2,427,039 square miles to Gores 680,134. The population of Gore's counties was 127 million to Bush's 143 million. To add insult to injury, Bush won Gore's home state of Tennessee. The display is is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame. $17.50

Gift014

Andersonville Prison Relic - This and the CSA Flag fragment are probably the most fascinating CW relics I have ever found. This one I truly lucked into. I acquired two fragments of the actual stockade from the prison camp at Andersonville, GA. The relic was not dug, but the provinance can be traced back to Sgt. W. F. Collner (155 Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry) who went back to the prison site after the War and retrieved a couple of pieces of the stockade as a souvenir. The fragments were in his family until recently. The full piece would be out of the range price wise for most, but I have cut them up into smaller pieces and made displays out of these pieces. Each piece comes with copies of the provinance. The bullet that is included has nothing to do with Andersonville, but one of my relic diggers sent me a quantity of shot and dropped bullets from near Peebles Farm, VA, where Sgt. Collner was wounded. I felt it appropriate to include one of those bullets. The display also comes with an Ebooklet that I put together that has some details of areas from which my relics come. I only have a few of these displays remaining and when the last one is gone there will be no more. Also  included is a pix of the documentation/authentication and a close up of the fragment that contains Collner's handwritten note. The display  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame.  $49.00

Gift015

Oliver Cromwell Civil War Relic - Newark Castle was originally built in the early part of the 12th century by Alexander the Magnificent, Bishop of Lincoln and the Lord of the Manor of Newark. During the Civil War, 1642-46, Newark held out for the Royalist cause and the castle was garrisoned by Royalist troops who were besieged four times by Cromwell. King Charles I took refuge at the castle before retreating to Oxford. Finally King Charles ordered the castle to surrender and the townsfolk were ordered to demolish all seige works. The castle was built on the Trent River and several years ago when the river was low, relics such as this musket ball were recovered. This ball was fired at the castle by Cromwell's men and it would have been hand cast by the soldier who fired it. This is a great piece of history at a really reasonable price. The display  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame.  $19.00

Gift023

Battle of San Jacinto - This is an outstanding Texana display containing a musket ball from the Battle of San Jacinto. The musket ball is one of a number of similar ones found in some land fill that was dredged in the area of the San Jacinto monument in the early 1960's that was used to level an area for a parking lot at W.R. Grace's Houston paint company. I was making a call on the company and the purchasing agent gave me one that he had found. He invited me to come back that weekend when he was going to bring a metal detector and see what he could come up with. I accepted the invitation and that Saturday I left with a little bag of 30 or 40 balls. A little research turned up that the last time that part of Buffalo Bayou had been dredged a lot of silt and shell was dumped on the bank. The contractor that was leveling the parking lot got all of the fill from that area. The balls are several different caliber and some appear to be hand cast and others machine cast. This is an outstanding piece of Texas history dating from April 21, 1836. The display is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame and the backing contains a picture of the 1836 Texas flag, the 1836 Mexican flag, a map, and a description of the battle.  $39.00

  Gift027

Confederate Flag Display - This is an incredible find and the provenance is impeccable. It is a fragment from a Confederate guide flag that was picked up on the battlefield at Bull Run by Col. J. T. Gibson. The display comes with the copy of a note Col Gibson wrote describing the piece and where he picked it up. The original blood stained flag measured approximately 29" x 25" but when I obtained it the flag had seriously deteriorated and measured about 22" long. The flag was passed down to Colonel Xenophone Herbert Price, who was General Blackjack Pershing's assistant in Paris, France during the 1920's and 1930's. Price began his military career as an aid to President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 and ended with a four year tour of duty in the European Theater of Operations during WWII. I have been told that Price is also credited with writing the inscription on the Tomb of the Unknown Solder at Arlington National Cemetery, but I have not been able to confirm that yet. The flag was passed onto his daughter Claire - General Pershing's God-Daughter. It was acquired by an antique dealer from Claire's estate and I acquired it from that dealer. In order to make this treasure available to more people, I made a display of a larger portion of the flag for my personal collection and divided the remainder into 33 pieces - one of which is on the framed 5" x 7" pictured display. The purchaser will receive photos of the complete item as I received it, the full provenance and my unconditional certificate of authenticity, which is backed by the certificate of authenticity from the antique dealer I acquired it from and the provenance. The second picture is everything I received when I acquired the flag. A frame is included with this item. $49.00

Gift028

Unusual Civil War Bullets - This is a beautiful display of authentic unusual bullets excavated in battle and skirmish areas in Virginia.. All bullets are uncleaned and have their original white patina. Included are a Confederate "buck & ball" ; a "pain" or "chewed" bullet (actually from Cointh, MS) that a soldier chewed during surgery (anesthetics were often not available so the physician gave the wounded soldier a lead bullet to chew to help with the pain) - thus "bite the bullet"; a pulled bullet that misfired during combat and the soldier had to pull it from his rifle with an extractor or "worm", and a carved bullet (soldiers often would whittle bullets during a lull in combat. These are all mounted on a backing that describes each bullet and has both a CSA and Union flag. The display  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame. smf comes with a 28-page down loadable Ebooklet that describes the battle areas from which most of my relics were excavated. $34.00

Gift029

Apache Tear - This is a large, natural, unpolished Apache Tear, excavated in Arizona. It is mounted on a heavy laminated background that  is cut to fit a standard 5" x 7" frame. . The background has the history of the Apache Tear legend and photos of Geronimo and Cochise, the two most famous Apache chiefs. Apache legend tells us that an Apache Brave was forbidden by the gods to go to war without one of these sacred stones, the Apache tear on his person. It is rumored that as late as the last half of the 19th century Geronimo and Cochise, the most famous of the Apache chiefs, instructed their warriors to carry these small, black charms when they went to battle. Geronimo is known to have had one of these stones when he escaped from a U.S. Army prison in 1869. White men who have made friends with the Apaches have been given these stones as a token of friendship, and never had to fear for safe passage through Apache territory when they presented their stones to war parties. Even today these stones are held sacred by the Apache tribe and are used during their secret tribal rites. Apache tears were formed by nature millions of years ago from volcanic action and are only found in a few places in the world. They are actually obsidian, a natural volcanic glass. When lava is thrown from a volcano and cools rapidly, the result is this black glassy material. This particular one is most unusual in that it is larger those normally found. Keep in mind, Apache tears should be handled with care. Like glass, obsidian is very sharp when broken. I was able to get several of these giant Apache Tears and the picture is representative. $17.50
